No. Dungeon Tracker only reads your public sheet and can’t change anything on D&D Beyond. Level up or add spells there, then tap ☰ → Sync on your sheet to copy the changes over. What changes in play (HP, slots, uses) stays here, and what you may want to copy back is listed under Notes.

Mostly. Whatever D&D Beyond shows on your public character comes along: homebrew items, spells, feats and actions appear with the text D&D Beyond gives them, and you roll and track them like any other. The rules explanations and Add item only know the official rules, so add homebrew items on D&D Beyond and sync.

Both: the 2024 rules (often called 5.5e) and the 2014 rules (5e). Dungeon Tracker reads which rules each of your classes uses on D&D Beyond, so rests, Rage, Channel Divinity, Ki or Focus Points and the like follow the right ones, even for a multiclass character that mixes the two.

Yes, once you’ve opened your sheet on that device while online. What you change offline is kept on the device and saved when you’re back. For a sheet someone shared with you, tap 🎭 Play a copy to keep your own private copy on the device.

Only if you want them to. Every character starts as Only me. Pick My party can see to share it with verified players in the same D&D Beyond campaign, or Anyone signed in for everyone with the link. Others can look, but never change anything.

Only what the app needs is stored: your email, a username, your characters, trackers and notes, on a server in Germany, plus anonymous visit counts (no cookies). Nothing is sold or shared, and you can download or delete it all yourself. The details are in Privacy & terms.
